This morning, I was woken up rudely by my beloved bike, aka Xiao Tu. She stalled while I was making a U turn near my place. I had to use all the strength that I could muster then to hold on to her to prevent toppling to the side.

Recently my bike had been stalled on me for several occasions. I interpreted it as a sign of her getting old and probably a good time to get her replaced. My bike had been used for a grand total of 9.25 years to date. Coming March, she will probably be scrape and I will get a new one.

She had been with me for the past 2 plus years. Being the first bike that I had owned we had shared lots of biking first time together and the love hate relationships with biking. Guess I had never regretted struggling with obtaining my license in the first place.

Time had come to start looking for new models to buy and perhaps take Class 2A license to expand my choices.

Should I go for the Vespa? It was what I wanted in the first place. Perhaps not...

GSS! It's the time for the annual Great Singapore Sales. My ex colleague was super on and even took a day off just for shopping. I am really envious and she really lives up to my ideal role model of a modern working woman. I still have to catch up in many ways.

Was rather pissed at work lately, was working on this IDOT tender. First it was with a mission impossible time frame and it is a brown field. Struggled with 2 of my designers for 3 weeks and completed the bill of quantity. I got myself a harsh reprimand from my engineering head while trying to meet the deadline. Though I was at fault but the harshness of it bother me for a while. I hate being threatened!

Now the bid price is out and the client was asking for a reduction. I had been asked by many parties to provide reduction anyhow. To be honest, there was minimum fat. Really don’t know how to cut this time. Somehow, somewhere, something ... it shall be done.

Life works in mysterious ways. When one decides to be brutally honest with another and even attempt to push another away with an evil plan. But ended up being closer and at the same time break barriers that might required much time and commitment. Currently I am in a state of bliss and contentment that I cannot deny.

Previous fears and apprehension are still lurking around. But hey since things had been mysterious anyway, just enjoy the moment. Let my breathe be taken away…
