Maze in the city

Chance upon this display after joining my friends for Ong Tat's Birthday celebration. Times flies and we had know each other for such a long time. We had a pretty interesting weekend attending Winston's wedding dinner on Saturday and then OT's birthday celebration on Sunday. Guess this piece of display sort of summarise my feelings for the weekend. Hey we are all caught up in a some sort of maze, waiting for a break through. When is my turn and what does it takes.

Some information on the display.

Maze in the city:
Extruding Moments
Intruding Memories

Imagine a forest and a maze of towers in the heart of the city…

This art installation explores the spatial articulation of moments along a journey, sculpting photographic memories of the site into three dimensional forms that invade the public square. Make your way through this maze, and lose yourself among the memories and hidden delights of the Singapore Arts Festival. Join the adventure and be surprised with what you might uncover. You never know who you will meet or what you will encounter…

Foot loose

Sprained my right foot for the very first time in my life. Was attending a step class when it happens. I was simply enjoying myself too much when it happens and I didn’t even have time to react. In a comical manner, I must have came tumbling down the step in the middle of the class. I must have looked like a puppet whose string got cut in the middle of an act.

As a result, I was kind of out of action for the passed long weekend. Luckily I was still able to walk but just at a slower pace. Despite of this little mishappening, I still had a memorable weekend. Walking around at slower pace, allows one to observe and appreciate the surroundings. In an ironical way, people around you are more concerned too.

I asked myself, do I have to wait till something is wrong before I go the extra mile for a friend or family? Something to think about and reminder for myself.

My strained foot is recovering now and hopefully it will be back to normal soon. Looking forward to continue with my exercise cum lose weight plan.

I know, I know... coming from me it an overdue …..

DSC03201Guess this picture shows my weekend feeling. Lazing by the sea, enjoying the sea breeze. Lovely indeed.

Just for Lawrence

I believe that I had gotten used to people coming and leaving especially at the work place. I think I had overestimated myself....

Today is Lawrence's last day at work. He will be migrating to join his wife in Hong Kong tomorrow. Hey I will really missed him.

DSC00373 Without knowing we had already know each other for many years, Think it was in 2003 when I was posted to work in the CWRP. In major ways, we are different but we click quite well somehow. For the past few years, I had went through life highs and lows and he was always there willing to lend me a listening ear. Remember the times when I took refuge at his work station whenever I was feeling down.

It is nice to have real friends at work. I had been bless all this while. Thanks Lawrence! I sincerely hope that he will be able to adapt to the life and create a new home there. Looking forward to keep in touch with him and visit him in near future in Hong Kong.
