A little incident happened at site and I had decided to report it to my managers.

Last Friday afternoon, Mr. G came along with my company letter threatened to remove any of my company employee working on Camau site to be remove permanently. Even with repeated gentle verbal reminder from me that I was not the originator or undersigned on his concern letter, he insisted to continue his threat. He consistently uses the word “she" in his speech and by simple logic deduction that he was referring his threat to me directly. Shouldn’t be any surprise to most as I am the only lady on site for my whole contract.

I was disappointed with his behavior as he had just been sort of promoted to deputy site manager. That is to say that he had been empowered but I am afraid that he has misused his authority in this incident.

To conclude, he can send me packing but I really dun care.

Earlier this evening as I was traveling from the site office to Ca Mau city, I witness a blue sky reflection in a paddy field, a red and orange sun setting over the horizon and a rainbow reaching all the way to the sky. All these in sequence of each other and all around a right angle bend. It was truly beautiful and no words could describe. The image will be in my mind for a long time.

I was sitting next to a colleague whom I didn’t really liked on the bus but I couldn’t contain my excitement by the time I saw the rainbow. I had to share it with someone and there he was.

I found out that I was the only one between us who can enjoy a rainbow. He is colour blind. Ended up chatting with him all the way back to the city. Then I change my opinion on him and reminded myself how fortune it is to be able to experience the diversity of colours which I might have taken for granted. Guess replying email with comments made in other colour is not considerate. I will change to use different fonts in future.

I was sitting at boarding gate waiting area reading a book while for my plane to Ho Chi Minh. I look up from my book and notice a guy wearing blue polo tee also reading a book sitting just behind me. Out of boredom, I took notice of him. Anyway I got a new friend at the end of the day. Way cool.

We ended up sitting next to each other on the plane. And I told him honestly that I noticed him earlier at the waiting area. We didn’t talk much on the plane, he was reading a book on happiness and I was engrossed on the movie, the painted veil. And talking about that movie, I liked the show and must catch the ending on my way back to Singapore.

Plane landed at Ho Chi Minh airport, I found out that it was his first visit to Vietnam and I guided him through the customs and airport. We exchanged numbers just in case he got into some trouble on his way to his hotel.

Somehow things work out in a convenient way and I meet him and his local colleague for dinner. Had dinner in the local seafood restaurant, had a delicious meal and found out more about him. He is a frank and interesting guy. I had a really good time. Thanks for the treat Daniel.
