Sydney here I come!

Updated on 7th April 2008 in green.

Will be going on a package tour with my family from the 24th to 29th Mar and will be extending my stay till the 1st Apr. Haven't travelled with my parents and sister and join a package tour for a really long while. Looking forward to a good time and take nice photos.

Itinerary

DAY 1 - 24/03/08
SINGAPORE - SYDNEY
Our vacation begins with a pleasant flight to Sydney – the Capital of New South Wales. Will be travelling with Singapore Airlines on the A380, will take lots of photos to share this new experience.

The plane was delayed for 6 hours. We were at the airport till 2.30am on 25/03/08. The Jumbo 777 was not in very good condition and didn't have a  comfortable 7 hours flight. Was very disappointed with Singapore airline this time.

DAY 2 - 25/03/08
SYDNEY - BLUE MOUNTAINS
Upon arrival, commence on our Sydney City Tour with a walk through Sydney’s birthplace - The Rocks area and the King’s Cross.  Next, enjoy the panoramic view of the famous Sydney Opera House before driving past the Chinatown and the Sydney Entertainment Centre. Then, embark on a Sydney Harbour Cruise with commentaries on board. If time permit, make a stop at the famous Sydney Fish Market. For seafood lovers, you will have a chance to purchase Australia’s excellent fresh seafood including prawns, crabs, and lobsters. Thereafter, proceed to visit Sydney Aquarium where you’ll embark on a journey that will allow you to experience the enormous diversity of eight unique Australian environments and the aquatic life that these environments support. Then, pay a visit to the Sydney Wildlife World where animals will be living within their natural habitats and ecosystems. Take a walk on the wild side and jump into Wallaby cliffs with the yellow-footed rock wallabies, or up close and personal with one of the Australia’s national icons, the koala.  This evening, enjoy a leisurely drive to the Blue Mountains National Park – a wonderful world of majestic mountains, plunging waterfalls and deep river gorges.

The delayed flight had cause the whole schedule to be off. Had a late lunch at the fish market. And was rush through the aquarium and wildlife. After which, an 2.5 hours ride to the resort on blue mountains. Our group had a buffet dinner all by ourselves as dining hours are long over. Beautiful resort thou, had a good rest.

DAY 3 - 26/03/08
BLUE MOUNTAINS - SYDNEY
Be awed by the gorgeous scenery at the Three Sisters rock formation, which towering over Jamison Valley at the blue mountain.  Next, drive along Homebush Bay Drive and follow the blue signs to the Homebush Direct Factory Outlet where there are over 80 outlet stores with great savings to cater for everyone.

Blue mountains are pretty but pale in comparison to the national park in USA. But seriously there is no reason to compare, one should enjoy themselves wherever they are. Got back to town in the afternoon for the Sydney Harbour Cruise. The waterfront is really impressive. Check out my photos, it too tough to describe with words. Then off to take that Opera house must have picture.

DAY 4 - 27/03/08
SYDNEY – HUNTER VALLEY – SYDNEY

This morning, travel to Hunter Valley to embark on an exciting journey to discover the region with a visit to Hunter Valley Garden. Be amazed by the breathtaking sights, sensational colour and scents of the 12 stunning feature gardens. Next, indulge yourself into a variety selection of hand-made cheese and chocolate at the Hunter Valley Chocolate and Cheese Company. Afterwhich, enjoy a wine-tasting indulgence at the Winery before travelling back to Sydney.

Things went on as planned. Just a little incident, the mini bus front right tire punctuated on our way back from Hunter valley. As we pull to the side of the road to wait for help. We indirectly caused a traffic accident between a truck and car. The guys from the truck actually came and help us to change that tire. We are blessed! Angel in disguise.

DAY 5 - 28/03/08
SYDNEY

Went for hot air balloon ride at dawn. This is a record, spend Aus $170 on a single taxi ride. But the whole experience was worth it. Love the guys operating the hot air balloon, could feel they zest and passion for this activity. We had an eye opener and enjoyable morning. Hop onto a train to get back to town. Spend the rest of the day shopping and checking the town.

DAY 6 - 29/03/08
SYDNEY

Me and sis venture out to look for a market along Oxford street but it was too far for us to reach with limited timing. Meet my auntie and her family for dim sum lunch. With their help we shifted to the service apartment that I had booked. Me and sis decided to abandon our parents and headed out to complete our unfinished quest this morning. My cousin Eugene gave us a ride there in his BMW, nice car leh. Me green eye monster. Walked so much that day, legs and shoulder was strained at the end of the day.

DAY 7 - 30/03/08
SYDNEY

Met up auntie and family again. We visited Bondi beach together. Wow beaches there are really gorgeous, walking on the fine sand and cold sea water was prefect. Had lunch at auntie's place and headed to check out the Easter show near the Olympics park. Had a really expensive dinner, which include a 3 plus kg lobster. Yummy.

DAY 8 - 31/03/08
SYDNEY

Last day at Sydney, spend the morning shopping with my parents. Had lunch at the Sydney tower, which overlook the whole of Sydney. Didn't make it in time for Harbour bridge climb but it doesn't really matters as it well worth spending time with my parents. Ended our day with a nice seafood dinner along the daring harbour.

DAY 9 - 01/04/08
SYDNEY - SINGAPORE

Home sweet home. We took the A380 this time round. Do check out my photos.

Endau - Rompin State Park

Updates on 19/03/08, Decided not to go on the trip with my colleague. Feel a little disappointed as I was looking forward to an adventure this coming weekend. Hope the rest of them have a safe and good trip.

Will be joining my colleague and her friends on a little adventure over the Good Friday long weekend. Guess it will be the sort of trip that brings back memories of my days as a member of outdoor activities club during secondary school days. Ha ha looking forward to a good time and catch up with nature.

 About Endau - Rompin

map_pahang_endaurompinLocated on the Johor-Pahang border, Endau-Rompin National Park is made up of a lush, pristine tropical rainforest. Covering an area of 48,905 hectares (800 sq. km), it is the second largest national park in the Peninsula after Taman Negara. With rock formations dating back some 248 million years, Endau-Rompin is mostly hilly with some prominent sandstone plateau. It also happens to be the watershed of several rivers such as Endau River, Selai River, and Jasin River.

Itinerary provided is in Malay, I cannot understand it and had to ask my colleague to translate.
