31 décembre Sony griefGot my camera back from servicing after 2 weeks and all that was done on my camera was verification. I was utterly disappointed with the service that I had gotten from Sony. Guess it was the longest time any camera manufacturer had taken to repair my camera. To make matters worse nothing was done on my camera.
Sigh...I am still stuck with the same problems as before. You can see them on the photos that I have taken during my recent family dinner. The light specks are back and red eyes all over the photos.
I am disappointed with Sony really; think it good to stop any further ownership. My PSP and T10 will be good for now. Please bear with the red eyes and light specks till I get a new camera.
30 décembre Masters mastersA piece of good news to share. I have completed my masters finally. Gotten my result just a few days back, and really felt that I have "putted down a heavy stone". This course of study had sort of anchor me for the past 2 years. There are so much that I might have missed these 2 years due to this commitment. Hey no lose no gain, most importantly is to forge forward and seek for a more fulfilling future. At the moment, I am working on my future plans and enjoying the freedom that I had just recovered. Looking forward to write a really long resolution list for 2008 tomorrow. Hey think I will share it on this space this coming year. I need some peer pressure to complete them. LOL .... 19 décembre The Photographer’s Eye
Borrowed this book from the library last night. Was just browsing through the book before going to bed and was very attracted to the whole presentation and concept discussed. Going to read this more carefully and hope to improve my photographing skills. Had been feeling a little strange without my camera for the past week. Photos taken recently had shown signs that there are something wrong with my beloved camera. There are strange light spots all over my pictures these days. And I was so dismay with all the red eyes on the pictures taken during last week company dinner. That's why they haven't appear on this space yet. Some introduction to this book, The Photographer’s Eye shows how anyone can develop an eye for ‘seeing’ great digital photos. The book explores all the traditional approaches to composition and design, but crucially, it also addresses digital techniques that extend the possibilities of the medium without compromising the photographer’s vision. Hey I am looking forward to take better picture during my coming Cambodia trip. Let hope my T10 will be ready for collection soon. 3 décembre My 2nd Half Marathon
Due to my lack of training, I took a little longer to finish and unfortunately ended up with a more strained body. The exhilarating feelings when crossing the finishing line was unchanged. There is needless to say that I will be back for more runs.
Check out the photos taken with my friends after the run. WE ALL DID IT!!! Nursing my strained body and a bitter feeling towards my Nokia 6500 classic mobile phone camera as it fails to take decent photos yesterday. Perhaps I should replace it ... 1 décembre Last to knowMy best friend updated me on his recent development just a few days ago. One of them had inflicted rather conflicting emotions. Of course I was happy for him as it was a good news. Then again I felt a little hurt as I felt that I was the last to know. Haven't been able to catch up with my friend for a long while and catching up was long overdue. You know when things happened for a while and need to talk about seems to reduce but it matters the same amount anyhow. Things piled up and it seems hard to find somewhere to start. Have been feeling a little unappreciated and taken granted for by the ones who matters most to me at this point in time. Back to my self scrutinizing mood, feeling a little underachieve and lonesome again. Perhaps I might have lost more in life than I know. Hey check out the lotus flower photo that I had longed to take while I was in Vietnam. Guess what, I took this during one of my run in Bishan park recently. Hope you like it and may it remind us to take time to smell the flowers in our hectic schedule. |
